Her jewels and clothes are described as red. Shakti's beautiful
skin is light red. She is vimarsha, a red reflection of the spark
of creation, which first flashed in the pure-consciousness which
is Shiva, or prakasha, the great light. The throb of creation is
the essence of the cycle of creation, sustenance and destruction.
This process is goddess Shakti in her all-red vimarsha form. Arun
also means the rosy dawn, the rising of the great sun. Aruna is
the charioteer of the Sun God, Surya Bhagavan. Aruna daily carries
the splendorous sun that brings light and life to all beings in
the Universe.
